I have set up HRD to remotely control my FTDX3000 and I am also running WSJT-X. The "remote" is quite a word, because it really is only a few yards, but I am so space limited right that this is the best solution. I can't figure out how to change the RF output power through HRD, can someone give me a hint?

You need to customize the layout and add a slider for RF Power. Lots of other options as well.

HRD can put your radio into transmit when you do not expect it.

A computer reboot may make it transmit until the adapter drivers are loaded too.

    Have Fun.

I have known a few people that smoked their radio or power supply because of that.

A PTT disable is a good thing to have. Harder to do if running remote.

Some radios have a built in time out timer. That is a good thing.

The FTDX3000 may have a TOT setting.

W6IR, following your advice, I can still not find how to control RF output, I found every other dial :)

Not in my experience with the FTDX-3000 or the FT-991.

Not sure if you ever found it, but thought I'd post in case you haven't or someone else is looking. I found it under customize sliders, it's called "MAX RF Power"
