http://www.livefromthehamshack.tv/2017/03/13/episode-85-unboxing-tyt-th-8600-mini-mobile-radio/ ---------------------- TYT's newest addition to their analog radio line is the TH-8600, which is a full-color screen dual band mini-mobile radio. Outputting 25-watts on VHF and 20-watts on UHF, and with its compact size, this radio should be a good addition to any go-kit or compact car.
Nice radio if space is a problem. But the tyt th-9800 is the way to go. Took my Yaesu 7100 out and put this in. I listen in on the criminal band (cb) with the 9800 when I'm on the road, It helped a few times.
Hello KC5HWB, KJ4OUB here. I just bought one of those TH8600 radio's, it does seem like a nice unit. Big question for you, how or what program did you use to program this radio. I've downloaded a program from the TYT's web site but it turned out to be in Chinese. All help or direction appreciated, thanks
Hello. I'm asking this question to a couple of Ham's. I have one of those tyt 8600's and while it seems like a good radio, I have only been able to partially program it using the radio's button controls, I haven't found a computer program "in English" to program it by. I haven't researched chirp, any other suggestions??
