When I was a young, green engineer, one of the senior guys would leave a meeting with the words, "I have to see a man about a horse," leaving me wondering what he meant. After several episodes of this, I confessed my puzzlement to an older colleague. He explained that the senior fellow needed a bathroom break. Eventually, all my green rusted away, and suddenly I was the senior fellow. But, I never needed the help of a horse to head to the head.

    Back to the original question...

Paul Simon had some ideas on a related matter...I suggest he be consulted on this.

How to Exit QSO in a Hurry
Solution one, Send "Will try QRPP now QRX" Go away and he will think you went to a milliwatt and will not expect to hear any more..
Solution two, Send " Pse QRX while I feed my cats" go away and he will wonder if your BIG cats ate you and will not expect to hear any more..
Solution three, same as above, only, dog lovers substitute "dogs" and the phrase "BIG dogs".

One of Fifty Ways to leave your QSO
Some guys send "QRU? QRU. QRT NW 73" Means roughly "I am boared with this QSO and if you don't have anything else interesting , neither do I" !
