I am interested in what other modes folks have worked.

It doesn't have to be one you logged, as so many modes would be illegal to TX w/an amateur license anyway. Essentially, anything you've decoded.

Any mode, but similar sub-modes can be left out. PSK31 is about the same as PSK63.

Hopefully I'll snag a few more to add to my "to do" list from your responses!

    My (slightly out-dated) list:

    Most of them.

The only ones that keep my interest are CW and SSB.

I've used dozens of digi modes but anything I can't work without a computer assist is boring, for me.

I stare at monitors 8 hours a day at work (sometimes twelve of them at the same time) and the last thing in the world I want to do to unwind and relax with ham radio is stare at another one.:p

    But, to each his own.

    That's like, 1000+ modes! I'm impressed! Care to list anything I haven't?

Or perhaps you meant "most of them" from my own list?

Historically (38 years) CW mostly. SSB in recent 8 years. JT65 in recent months. RTTY in years past (including "mechanical" RTTY)

Never once did AM or any digital modes than JT65 & RTTY as mentioned.

CW, SSB & JT65 are my mainstays.

Hey Dave, a new JT-Alert has been released in the past couple of days. Now works with WSJT-X (JT9 et al). It's a lot like JT65, but narrower.

JT9 is becoming quite popular. I expect even more activity thanks to VK3AMA's work.

    Check them out here: JT-Alert & WSJT-X

Thanks Frank - will give them a try when the shack is done (don't ask! - gotta love construction)

A few modes I have screenshots of handy...

Pinging the space-station with VHF packet:

HF packet is alive and well:
    PACKET_hf.JPG

QRP or beacons your thing? WSPR is great for propagation tests:
    WSPRmap.JPG

JT9 is a new mode and catching on quickly:

Even if you don't like to QSO in digital modes, there's so many different things out there to monitor.

    SELCAL:
    SELCAL.JPG

    ACARS on VHF:
    acarsdecodeKHIO.JPG

and continue tracking them on HF with HFDL:
    HFDL.JPG

or, listen to shortwave sounding more like FM, with digital voice (DRM):

And if ships are your thing, then check out NAVTEX and GMDSS:
    GMDSS.JPG

and a favorite of mine, WEFAX:

I gotta say, anyone who says digital modes are boring must be doing something other than PTT or tapping a couple pieces of metal together. I could do this all day.

    And do! 8)

Nice list, thank you for sharing! (EDIT: I see you have the same loop I do. Ain't those great performers!?)

I just worked KH2FI calling CQ on MFSK-4. Not a common one. I think my first "4" of that mode.

Shoot. Not recognized by eQSL. Not even in the logbook or ALE of Ham Radio Deluxe (although an available mode in DM780). I even have to fix ARRL's TQSL to covert it to "DATA" before uploading to LoTW.

Never a dull moment! Always something new to learn.
