My physical/mailing address is correct, in the sense that it mirrors ULS. The problem (and likely I caused it back 3.5 years ago when I created the FRN) is that the CR in my address should actually read 'County Road'. I just received a QSL card from Belgium, in which the operator included a clipped copy of their first attempt (using the QRZ format) and USPS bounced it back to them in Belgium. What I'm trying to describe can be seen by taking my address, and submitting it to the USPS ZIP+4 lookup page. I have intermittently had other people using the shortened version of CR, and sometimes it goes thru and sometimes it bounces. I'm also going to contact the FCC to see about getting the FRN and the ULS grant page corrected. thanks, and 73
The only way to fix that for now is to file an address change with the FCC ULS. Go here: https://www.fcc.gov/wireless/universal-licensing-system and select File Online about half way down.
Here lately there have been a few bounces when the sender was using MY rubber stamped SASE! No explanation. I guess their optical reading equipment needs some tweaking. This never happened in the past.
