    ... and the evening brought a far distant new country to my log:

    CQ MM DX contest.
    This is on 40 again, just like Australia some weeks ago, same simple wire antenna and 20W, CW.

    Yes, I got it too. But this year the propagation is worse than last. There are many nearby stations on the 20-ty. Just over 300 QSO.

    80m...153 receptions, most far 400km
    40m... 74 receptions, dead area around 450 to 700km from my QTH
    20m... 5880km, hello Russia

    Yes, Absolutely , The power supply Has !!! to be a 100 percent or you are just running around in circles. HHMM I tried leds here in a 500 , Lasted about a month then went out i put it down to the in rush of current when you turn the rig on. Good job on the the 350 looks great. What kinda of output you getting out of the 6hf5 tubes. Thanks Rob

    That's cool. I was detecting last week and dug up a SO-239 to SO-239 connector. Always fun to find something you can use.

    I attempted to do a POTA activation on 6m FM ('cause I like tilting at RF windmills) partway through my afternoon run. My radio, RG174 coax, and EFHW antenna all fits in a hip pack along with my phone, water, and keys.

    No responses, but I did hear a somewhat faint signal sending CW right after I tuned into 52.525. I wasn't paying attention at first because I was busy self-spotting, so by the time I realized what was going on, it was down to the last character (which was a "5" btw). No clue what the sending station was since that's the FM Calling frequency and I've never heard CW on it before. I didn't hear it again after that.
