I had a EU2000i for years, never a problem. They redesigned it, raised the price and showed it to be a 2200w instead of a 2000w, but the operating wattage of 1800 remained the same. Only different is, higher price, 200 more surge watts. Was not worth the price of upgrade to me. Great generator however. 73 Rich

Only applies to those sold within the last year or so:

According to the CPSC, “Authorized Honda Power Equipment Dealers and The Home Depot and other home improvement stores nationwide and online from February 2018 through February 2019 for about $1,100 to $1,300.”

Gives a whole new meaning to "firing-up the generator." : P

    IIRC, the EU2000i ratings were 1600W continuous / 2000W surge, with the EU2200i's numbers 1800W / 2200W.

Recall is for fuel petcock possibly leaking. Honda takes these things very seriously.
Parts are now in stock and we are getting them repaired. I haven't seen any leaking yet.
