Homebrew CW Key - Low budget model..

    I guess I should add mine. It's a windshield wiper blade, some foil tape and two guitar picks. The clothespin is just a form for it to rest on.

    ..._. is SN prosign and means Understood, or Verified. Same as VE. But I think SN prosign is a more international rendition.

    With Iambic B is is only 3 strokes.

    This is awesome engineering? How is the feel compared to something along the lines of a bencher.

    I'm afraid I don't have enough experience to compare it to other keys, but it has a very light touch, and I was able to adjust its sensitivity by the width of a single ply of foil tape. I like having the key set up so that a very slight touch sets it off, and this design seems to accomplish that in a low-tech way.

    The big problem it has, though, is that the wiper blade is not clamped down to anything. It just grips the clothespin, and so it can slide around when I use it. I could epoxy it into place but I haven't brought myself to doing so yet, because I'd rather be able to remove it and adjust it.
