    Hi All:
I'm interested in comments on mobiling in a 2012 Ford Escape.
Does HF RF at 75-100 watts drive something crazy in the onboard computer?
Is the vehicle known for being quiet or noisy on the bands?
Thanks in advance for any input you may offer.

I run HF in my 2002 Ford Escort ZX-2 roof-mounted homebrew X-Bar / (4 pos MFJ 1204 switch, 20m 40m, 11m & grounded the spare) and have never had problems.
IF you have alternator noise getting into your rig through the power wires, I connected a flexible A/C power conduit (fluorescent lighting) and engine/chassis grounded the conduit in several places from the battery through the firewall, ..... .05 noise floor. (same applies to my Motorcycle Mobile (1996 Aspencade)...

Can't say about HF but my wife's (she's a ham) 2012 Escape has no issues with a VHF/UHF radio in the car
