Not in the case of my good friend GT Hill in Arkansas who will soon open his as a VRBO, or the Zillow listing posted above as the Original Post - that's a CURRENT LISTING - most definitely "not gone" but very much "for sale"

I meant the actual "missle silo" as in where the missile was stored. I am aware that the rest of the facility is intact, just not the "silo" part. All I see in that Zillow ad is pictures of the control center and the entrance to the facility. Sure, it's underground and all that, but just the 200' deep missile silo is gone.

Here is a quote from a website about Titan II Missille sites in AZ:

"The infamous Titan II nuclear-tipped missiles ringing Tucson and pointed at the USSR for nearly 20 years beginning in the early 1960s. The hardened, underground complexes were capable of withstanding a near-direct strike from a Soviet nuclear missile. The 390th Strategic Missile Wing, headquartered at Davis-Monthan AFB, Tucson, was active from 1962-84 and had command of the 18 sites in Southern Arizona. The Reagan Administration decided to retire the missiles by 1987. Demolition crews decommissioned the silos by imploding them and sealing access points with concrete. The last Titan II came off alert status in May, 1984."

Where I grew up in Mass, they sold the lighthoust for $478,000. 120' of granite with the perfect groundplane( 3 miles offshore). I had always dreamed of living there, when I was commercial lobstering there.
