Why would the DOD use WWV ?
Is Hillary Clinton in charge of it ? Maybe to send out emails.
It looks like they're not accepting anymore survey's
I just filled it out for a second time and it took it OK. Are you sure you're clicking the correct link? Here it is again,
On the web page menu it is NOT the "MARS After Action Survey" link, it is the last one on that list titled "WWV Survey".

SWL 60 Meter Reception Report
WWV Survey <----------------------------------this one
Don't be mislead, the title on the form that comes up from clicking on the WWV Survey is "WWV / WWVH Reception Report", but that's the one.
The ARRL News release on this matter mentions they encourage WWV users to submit multiple survey / reports over the period.
When I was in Fort Collins, hoping to get a guided tour, I went to WWV, and knocked on the door.
They wouldn't even give me the TIME of DAY!
All seriousness aside, I'm a WWV/WWVH listener, and I depend on WWVB to keep my clock set.
Given the attention that previous petitions collected from all possible hams (dismal results), my conclusion is posting on ham forums is a waste of time. There is just not enough (hams) to make a difference.
Having said that, reach out to the forums of all of those other users of WWV that totally deped on it. These days there are forums for everything. Include the hams that are found of course in your petitions.
And you need to tell hams this?
But, thank you for clarifying our rights.
I agree,it's not NEEDED. It maybe wanted, but I know ew all can live without.
Anyone with a cellphone or email account can communicate with anyone else. So is Amateur Radio not antiquated; and continued FCC licensing, a waste of taxpayer money?
First my thoughts should be made clear. I am all for amateur radio.
However, the dismal response to the petitions to keep WWV as seen in the past on ham forums is startling. It is startling because is it suggesting just exactly this, "So is Amateur Radio not antiquated; and continued FCC licensing, a waste of taxpayer money?" Is that all there is? Is it revealing that this (ham radio) is a dead man walking?
