Why did you "stick the Icom 746 into a TS2000 discussion" ?

It's okay........ I see that you're bothered by our discussion but you really ought to command only those whom you may.
Because the OP and following responses were about the pros and cons of the 2000. I simply said after my experiences with the 2000 that if 70cm wasn't a must have I felt the 746 did everything better for less cost. A valid reasoning to interject. Many disagree and thats fine too. The 2000 is old technology and does nothing as well as modern machines other than offer up uhf and vhf with it. And if one only does FM, there are cheaper alternatives to spending premium dollars on sub premium performance.
Reread my post and you will see how and why I said something about the 746. Just a valid part of a discussion
