Curious if anyone here has tried the "IC-7300 Wide Band Modification" to put the rig on 630m? It certainly looks super simple - clip a couple of diodes.

    Has anyone tried it?

My Drake TR7 is able to transmit on all frequencies from 1800 to 29999 and all stops in between - and has been able to since it was built around 1978

However it won't do 472 MHz

Maybe keep the Baofeng jokes in another forum - why put that here? o_O

Trying to have a serious discussion on options for 630m transmit with gear I already have.

So you want your signal to be 472kHz wide?
