Is there anyone out there that has installed an HF radio in a 2015 Volvo XC-60? I am going nuts trying to find a "safe' installation location. If you have please tell me where you installed the radio. I don't have one that has a remote head so it has to be convenient to see as well as safe.

I've got a 2014 XC-60. I installed a VHF rig with remote head. Only way it can be done. Unless you want to hang it from the headliner. There is just no place in the dash area to do it. If it was small enough, I guess you could also place it on the dash, but that'll get ugly and your locak laws may come into play with obstructed vision.

FWIW, I mounted the remote head below the panel with the environment and other controls. In front of the shift lever. The shift lever blocks some of the display while in park, but not while in drive. YMMV.
