Has anyone used one of these generators for powering a power supply and then powering a hf rig of around 100 watts?

I am wondering if the power is full of noise or does it make a fair field day power source.

It has both an engine and an inverter. I would want to try one on all bands and operating situations before making that decision, even if it is only $500.

The 2 stroke, correct? My club used one for Field Day, worked great, ran quietly, we Power. Laptop and iCom 857 and Tuner with it. Worked well, no noticeable added noise on signal. Need to make sure it is level when running.

I don't think so. The two-stroke genset they have is only 900 watts.

I haven't checked but I was thinking that it was 4 stroke. Now I have to take a closer look.

It looks to be a 4 stroke OHV.

It should be OK on a short extension cord.

It may not be safe for use in California.

That is a bit strange. But true.

Are you going to be OK ?

No worries...left there in 1972 and go back for the very occasional visit. The last one was in 2002...I think.

    But thanks for asking!

    Even Disneyland is dangerous!

I probably should use a similar disclaimer with my posts given my 6 call...
