I only hope I live long enough to get to Dayton again, 2 years have already passed. Wait until wifey drags you on a cruise ship and discover you hate them in 1-hours. You are trapped for a week in a floating prison.
Try doing it for 6 months or longer and working 18 hour days keeping jets flying. Been there, done that.

I agree. I can read much faster than watching a youtube video. Hamvention will be held May 20, 21 and 22, 2022 at the Greene County Fairgrounds and Expo Center.
Me and my friend went by ourselves for two full days. We were planning to do it again next year. That summer my friend passed away peacefully in his sleep..... Then the world turned around with COVID-19. We had a great time with hundreds of pictures and made some friends there, it was a great experience! I thought of going again to honor him, this time I'll take my son with me, I just don't know if I can make it now, will try next year.
Ha ha, sorry to hear about the PTSD. I guess I lucked out. I took my fiance to one in the late 90's, and it definitely wasn't her cup of tea. But she married me anyway. Haven't seen her at _any_ hamfest since.
Sorry to hear that sad news:-( Hamvention is always friendly--if you don't come with a friend you easily make many news ones while there
