Hamsphere???

    Ok not perspective, I wasnt aware it was as indepth as it is. In that case good stuff. I dont belong in this forum anyways as I have nothing to contribute of any constructive substance.

    I have started using the HamSphere 4.0 and find it very interesting and challenging.
    I look at it this way, I know and fully realize that HamSphere is a simulator.
    However, I if I cannot afford top notch Ham radio antennas and gear, it is a cool way to try different things out.
    I know alot of people that fly Flight Simulators but do not own real aircraft.
    Is this any different?

    Not really. It's not a very good analogy at all. You can't eat virtual prime rib. It's just a picture on the screen. In Hamsphere you talk into a microphone to an actual person. The radio, antennas and propagation are virtual, the conversations and people are real.
