Come join HamSCI at its eighth annual workshop! This year’s event will be held March 14-15 at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) in Newark, NJ. During this two-day conference, HamSCI will guide attendees through the latest prevailing and pertinent findings in ionospheric science including data from the October 2023 annular and April 2024 total solar eclipses.

The workshop will focus on the theme of HamSCI’s Big Year – a chance to review the findings from the HamSCI 2024 Festivals of Eclipse Ionospheric Science—which included the Solar Eclipse QSO Party (SEQP), updates on the HamSCI Personal Weather Station, radio wave propagation modeling, data management and visualization techniques, the applicability of HamSCI’s research to amateur radio operations, and the continuing relationship between professional and citizen science.

So, delve into the questions facing the scientific community and participate in discussing the latest findings. Unravel some of the scientific challenges driven by the latest scientific data. Get ideas on the latest tools and techniques to keep pace with the constantly changing scientific landscape surrounding ionospheric research. Get insights into the expanding range of cooperation between the scientific and citizen-science communities.
    Who should attend?
The program focuses on the latest findings, strategy, and best practices, and is designed to bring together the amateur radio community and professional scientists. Anyone interested in these subject matter topics is welcome to join.
