I got to tour the Bethany Station VOA site several years back -- before VOA shut it down. It was open for tours on a Sunday afternoon of Dayton Hamvention weekend. It was mind-blowing!

Im another who enjoyed the tour and also enjoyed a tour of Drake. But the Crown Jewel was a tour of Wright Patterson AFB thanks to my officer son Brian who was stationed there while going for his MSEE at the AFIT.

I donated several items to their displays as I find it a very interesting and worthwhile museum. And the ham club there has quite a nice station.

If you are at all interested in radio, not just ham radio, a visit to this museum is a must. I don't think most folks understand that this is not a government sponsored or funded museum - it operates on donations. And they've done a wonderful job and are fully deserving of our support. If you grew up in the time when VOA dominated shortwave in Europe, then you'll find this place fascinating. And don't forget, there a huge dose of Crosley history in there, AND they inherited the Drake 'museum' (factory product showcases), so if you are a Drake fan this place is a must see.
