    This is a good option if there is no other service available and you need to get a message to someone that is not on ham radio. I use it to send text messages to phones. Be prepared though for a long process to try and find a relay station. Make sure you spend time beforehand setting up favorites and backups for each favorite on the bands you will have access to.
