WHAT: 24th Annual “Ham Radio University” Educational Conference A Day of Amateur Radio Knowledge-Sharing & Fellowship WHEN: Saturday, January 7, 2023 8:00 am – 3:00 pm EST (13:00 – 20:00 UTC) WHERE: On Line via GoToWebinar Video Conferencing Required Advance Registration Begins December 18, 2022 With continuing Covid19 uncertainties precluding an in-person event for a third year, the 24th annual Ham Radio University (HRU) educational conference will again be held as a virtual event – on Saturday, January 7, 2023 -- 8:00am to 3:00pm EST (13:00– 20:00 UTC) -- as a GoToWebinar on-line video conference. Required advance registration on line starts December 18th for presentations by experts in a broad range of Amateur Radio activities including: Building an HF station, Basics of HF Operating; Contesting and DXing; Communicating Through Amateur Radio Satellites; Software Defined Radios; Digital Communications; Parks on the Air; Learning and Using Morse Code; Cables & Connectors; Antennas; and Using RaspberryPi Computers in Amateur Radio. In addition to viewing the presentations, on-line attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions of the presenters. Founded by Phil Lewis, N2MUN, who passed away in March, 2020, HRU also will be the on-line convention of the NYC-Long Island Section of ARRL - The National Association for Amateur Radio® As in years past, participation in HRU 2023 will be free of charge, with an optional suggested donation of $5.00, but advance on-line registration – starting December 18, 2022-- will be required for each presentation.
