    Would it be possible to see a photo with the lamp turned on? And is the lamp an LED or Incandescent bulb? Are different lamp colors available?. Does it have an on/off switch or is the cord-plug the on/off swich (ie: plug it in the light goes on....pull it out the light goes off). Thanks for your answers.

    Very cool and retro. I also describe an on the air lamp in the Opus :)
    You can "Key" these lamps from the VOX T/R relay of most modern transmitters, sometimes without even an external relay (depending on the lamp wattage, of course)

    Your local hobby shop should carry different color sheets of acetate, used for modelmaking. Great way to get just the color you want. I like a soothing "British library desk lamp" green.
