I work in the parks as a trail steward. I always have my ham radios on me and have on one occasion used them as a backup device for when my cell phone does not work or cant be used. In this Video I go over some of the rescues ive been on and I hope it shows kind of what situations you might find yourself in outside in the woods. Ham radio I feel is very essential option to have while working or hiking in parks. Anways here is the link to the video.
