In Greene County, Ohio, we are starting a ham radio 4-H club! Meetings should start as soon as we get the go-ahead which can be any day now. A Yagi antenna is set up at the Fairgrounds as well as an IC-7300 and a Yaesu FT-991A. Any one who has children or grandchildren in the area is encouraged to sign up online through the Ohio 4-H sign up website. No licensed family is needed to join. In addition, the possibility of holding special license classes is being investigated! If you know any children in the area interested in electronics, talking to others, making contact with people all over the globe, or having fun with others their age, please have them sign up!

Connect up to the Y.A.C.H.T. youth group...evening chat at 7pm CDST or Sat. youth net same time slot on our YACHT echolink conference node #954283. We have many young hams from ages 7 on up from all parts of U.S. One of our most active is Katie KE8LQR from Columbiana, OH Youngest members are ages 7 and 8, and many in 10 to 18 range. 40 new youth members climbed aboard so far this year. Our major goals are to promote ham radio and related technology to youth, give them a satisfying experience and promote friendship with other hams.
