Many ham radio operators spent time over the July 20th weekend as the International Space Station commemorated its 20th Anniversary by transmitting 12 different images via SSTV (Slow Scan TV). In this episode, we chat with 3 of them. Galen Wilson (KF5BET) and his two daughters Abbi (KF5BEW) & Kendra (KF5FYS) set out to chase the ISS over the weekend from Southwestern Louisiana. Listen in as they discuss their successful adventure! Listen Link Here Show Notes, Mentions, Links and Videos are Here Thank you for listening. 73, K4CDN
Very nice article, thank you. I was able to download several SSTV images, a few are perfect and a few have noise lines, I am glad to have them as they are my first SSTV images. I enjoy my ISS contacts I've heard the astronauts taking before, hit the data repeater and I go watch them pass at night when they are visible. Sincerely, George 73
It ended early Monday 7/24. I was able to capture two images on a pass since they were using PD120 instead of PD180. Here are two sites to check out periodically for ISS events like SSTV: - https://www.issfanclub.com - https://ariss-sstv.blogspot.com
In the Satellites forum, it was announced well in advance ... https://forums.qrz.com/index.php?threads/sstv-projects-coming-next-week.572245/#post-4310410
