I have developed a visual aid for WSJT-X called GridTracker, currently for Windows but a Mac version is in the works.

It listens to decodes over UDP and displays them in real-time on a map.

It has directional traffic indicators from DE to DX, station callsign indicators and ADIF file loading capability and more.

You can find the latest version at , it is free and always will be.

I am making updates all the time and adding new features, I take requests!

    JTDX is also supported.

    Nice program. Just D/L'd it.

I downloaded it and set up the correct port, but it just sits there and ignores all decodes on WSJTX. Is there a special place to download it to? Program file x86, or just under C: like WSJTX ?

    Are you also running JTAlertX?

you can not run it and JTAlertX at the same time, they use the same port.

Thanks, that got it working. It kind of kills the usefulness of the app for me though if it can't run with JT Alert. It's a nice app, but no substitute for the features of JT Alert. If only there was some way of running 2 parallel ports at the same time. Or is there?

Yeah, I came to the same conclusion too.

    I won't give up JTAlertX.

What are the features of JTAlertX you need?

I wasn't aware of JTAlertX when I started this project. ( If I had, I probably wouldn't have made GridTracker ).

I was planning on adding gridsquare and callsign alerts next.

I'd suggest you go look at to see what all JTAlert can do.

I echo what the others said. Its a great app and I see the usefulness however many are very use to JTAlert and I'm betting it would be hard to pull them away from that. I would however like to run both. The issue is the UDP port is read from the WSJT-X .INI file and can't be set in the JTAlert software. Therefor even with the UDP forwarding on your software I can't get JTAlert to work. Not sure of the fix for that. Almost have to work with the writer of JTAlert on getting them to read a differnt UDP Port? Maybe that's not an easy task... Any thoughts?

there is another piece of software (DX Aggregator)
that automatically sends WSJT spots to a DX cluster.

It also uses the same port, so I have to pick and choose which one to run.

Haven't been able to work around the port conflict issue.
