    So much for often-heard claim that a tower collapses into a pile of steel around its base so there's no need for the required setback equal to tower height from nearest property line. Apparently they cut loose one set of guys at the anchor and let the whole thing drop.

    A tower won't just collapse vertically unless the base is blasted with the guy wires intact.

    With asymmetrical forces, i.e., the pulling on one side, the tower falls toward the greater pull.

    Here is the NRSC's paper on the many Broadcast companding systems.

    I don't think these systems have any comparison to SGM and SGM/CC as implemented say for example in either the DX-60 or HT-40, or Knight T-150.
