    Nov 1-5 2025 will see special event station W9G on the air celebrating the 71st anniversary of Godzilla!

    Godzilla premiered in Nagoya Japan on October 27, 1954, and received a wide release in Japan on November 3. It was a box-office success, winning the Japanese Movie Association Award for Best Special Effects. In 1956, a heavily-re-edited "Americanized" version, titled Godzilla, King of the Monsters!, was released in the United States.
