    Special Awards this weekend 23rd / 25th June GB150VC
    at The Firepower Museum , Royal Arsenal, Woolwich, South East London, UK operating on all bands mostly 0900hrs - 1700hrs (GMT)
    special qso cards for hams and swl's

    ACTIVE, WORKING RADIO STATION
    Between 1st and 28th June the Museum Radio Station will be operating a special amateur radio call
    sign of GB150VC. to commemorate the inauguration of the Victoria Cross.

    Visitors will be welcome to take part on any day the Museum is open. Live, on air, contacts are anticipated throughout the world, although this will depend on atmospheric conditions at the time.

    So far just over 2,350 QSO's have been logged on 10/20/15/40 and 2m on CW and SSB. The GB150VC log will be sent off to QSL.net every friday night.

    Day 7: 2,697 QSO's in the log! Nice opening on 10m in to EU. [​IMG]

    Not to much happened on the VHF bands (mainly 2m) not to many people seem to be around during the day [​IMG]

    ** Special Awards ***

    The Firepower Award

    This award is available to any amateur (OR SWL) who works GB150VC between 01 – 28 June 2006.
    A total of 150 points are required. -
    Three QSOs are needed-
    Each QSO with GB150VC will be worth 50 points-
    Contacts can be on any band/mode- Only one QSO is allowed on any band-
    No cross band or cross mode contacts will count

    The award costs £3, $5, 7 new IRC or €5.

    The Victoria Cross Award
    This award is available to any licensed amateur who works GB150VC during the Victoria Cross Anniversary weekend from 23 – 26 June 2006.
    Only one contact with GB150VC is required. -
    A contact can be on any band/mode-
    No cross band or cross mode contact will count
    The award costs £3, $5, 7 new IRC or €5.
    The award is also available on a heard basis to Short Wave Listeners.

    Just over 4,200 QSO's in log. Work us 3 times on any band/mode and qualify for the award. We will try to be active as possible but very short on operators at present [​IMG]

    We now have extra hour this weekend 23/26 June
    We hope to be operating from 7z-19z

    The event has now finished.

    Just over 10,000 QSO's were made. The whole log should be on qsl.net within the week.
