    K 8 OBX passed away January 17 2021 at the age of 51. Gary was the media man for the Ashtabula County Amateur Radio Club, (K8CY) handling the web site and the Facebook presence for the club. A jovial man of many interests, he will be sorely missed . He leaves behind a wife and four children.

    Gary L. Gifford, Jr.
    December 6, 1969 - January 17, 2021


    Gary L. Gifford, Jr., age 51 of Ashtabula and longtime Medina resident, passed away unexpectedly on January 17, 2021. He was born on December 6, 1969 in Medina to Gary L. and Karen A. (Burke) Gifford.
    Gary was a control systems programmer and tech professional, a member of the Ashtabula Elks Lodge, and was actively involved in his children’s activities including Scouts. He was a licensed Ham Radio operator for many years; enjoyed craft beer, hockey, and Ohio State Buckeyes football. But above all else, Gary loved to spend time with his family.
    He is survived by his beloved wife of 23 years, Michele (George) Gifford; cherished children Evan, Caitlyn, Morgan, and Keegan; his parents Gary Sr. and Karen; his sister Susan (Peter) Chakerian; and many more loved ones on both the Gifford and George sides of the family.
    Private family services will be held and a celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.
