It is with great sadness that I have to advise that G3UHW Tommy Tomlinson from Farnborough UK passed away 2am on Saturday 11th January 2020. He is now a silent key. He was a month or so away from his 98th Birthday. Tommy worked for many years in the Royal Aircraft Establishment in Farnborough in the Publications Department and in later years he worked as a Senior Technician in the Laboratory for the Farnborough Technical Institute He was one of the five founder Members of the Farnborough and District Radio Society together with G2DX,G8ATK,G3KND,G3NVM . He served over the years in various roles on the Committee of the FDRS Tommy suffered for quite a few years with cardio problems. These health problems he accepted valiantly and got on with living his life in a philosophical manner. His sense of humour was always infectious and when he laughed everyone laughed with him, he will be missed by all those who knew him through Radio Amateur and social activities but his memory will live on He is survived by his two sons Terry and Rod and his daughter Claire RIP Tommy G3UHW SK
