FTM-100 Bricked after firmware

    Ok, no replies here but many thanks to the hams who have emailed me to explain.

    It seems that in fact, Yaesu have downgraded the memory system in all the current models, so that memory data is no longer 'Write-Protected', and there is no specific fault on my own individual radios....they're all bad.

    One writer recalled how he'd turned the memory-stored power from 5w to 25w temporarily during a QSO, but the rig hadn't returned it to the stored power level after use, as it should. He used the radio again later and ended-up overdriving his amplifier and destroying it.
    This was just the problem I was afraid of.
    Looks like Yaesu have messed-up on this Chinese-made design! Shame they just didn't stay with the established systems of all their previous models.
