IMG_5037.PNG This scammer was on this morning and posted another FTDX-5000 for sale. He quickly removed the thread after I responded to it. I did report it. Notice call and also notice that the scammer was on line at the time. You can tell by the green on line flag next to his call sign (KR0W). This tells us that the call sign profile has been compromised. The phony email address is also shown in ad. See picture.

yes there were many red flags on the ad.

Ad has been removed and account locked. If the real owner of the account sees this, just ping "support@QRZ.com"

But it appears to be yet another compromised account (one of two in the same 20 minute period this morning).

Beginning July 1, 2019 99.9% of these types of hijacked scam attacks will cease, when ID Verified will then be required to post in the Swapmeet

    KA2FIR, NZ4X and WA6MHZ like this.

also there was scammer trying to sell a FTDX 5000 with other hams photos!
He emails hams asking them to send photos of the rig with his call sign in the photo, then he can list it and try to screw somebody out of cash here is a call sign he was using. I spoke with another ham via email and he stated that this was his radio and that this guy asked him for his photos with his call sign in it. Not sure why he went ahead and sent these to him but we all need to be very careful when buying expensive equipment from these sites!
