    How I fixed Windows 10 time synchronization…

Warning: Use this procedure at your own risk. I assume no responsibility if you mess this up.

    1. <ctrl><alt><del> and Open the Task Manager.

    2. Click on the Services Tab.

    3. At the bottom of the Services Window click on the link “Open Services”.

    4. Find “Windows Time” in the Services List and Double Click on that to open the Windows Time Service Dialog.

    5. Change Startup Type from “Manual” to “Automatic”.

    6. Click “Apply” and “OK”.

    7. Close all Windows and Restart Windows.
Your system will now keep the exact time Automatically.

Great Scott , I just drove Windows 10 to 88mph. Instantly it reverted to Windows 7.
And now thinks it is 2015.

    Running FT8?

In any event, if you absolutely must run FT8 on your work computer ( ), then long live Linux running under VirtualBox on Windows-whatever. :D The ntpd service will run very well on the VM, and Windows can continue to be confused about time, updates, performing basic tasks, etc. ;)

Better yet, when Windows 10 connects to the Borg Hive(tm) to get updates and morph itself into a new version of brokenness, your Linux VM will remain unharmed. You can completely change Windows versions, but still take your Linux (virtual) box, unchanged, along for the ride.

    Win win.
