Among my favorite rigs to use on the air: Heathkit SB-101, SB-301/401, Henry Radio Tempo One, and Kenwood TS-820s

The IC-7300 comes into play in contests just to see where the action is.

The FT-950 is my go-to Digital rig and for when I want super tight DSP CW filters.

Every radio is different - every one has its personality, it's pros and cons, and things that make it shine in some way other radios do not.

That's why I own a fair number of rigs and rotate them regularly

I have owned a LOT of HF radios only a few I wish I still had and the 950 was one. I bought my 950 brand new too. I keep looking at the 3000 but don’t really need it. Like a kid in the candy store.

New radio IC 7300 if only for the warranty and peace of mind of having a new radio under warranty.
