Hopefully this is the right forum on QRZ for this question. I am at wits end. I have read the manual 20 times. I have followed the instructions to the T. I have my text loaded in the beacon storage. I have set up A to activate PLY1. I have set the beacon interval @ 90 seconds When I hold in A, it goes to the PLY1, but that is it. The radio does not key, I do not hear any CW tones, nothing. What step am I missing???
Hmmm. I just tried it and it works fine. I have text in all 3 memory slots, I set the beacon time to 15 seconds. MODE = CW ( of course ) Then I go to MFo display that shows: PLY1 PLy2 PLY3..... when I tap button A [ press momentarily ] I get brackets around it and it starts keying my message every 15 seconds. Make sure you have MFj item " BK " enabled ( Break in ) ...for CW as well. I just did some more testing - DO NOT Hold in PLY1 - just tap it . Holding it in sends you to the setup menu where you change the message.
