"Also, has anyone done a comparison of the FLDIGI and ZL2AFP FSQ software?"

I have used them both; they both work fine.

What I don't know, is why is the audio frequency fixed at 1500 Hz?? What I do, if a couple of guys are using 1500, I tune up on my radio about 500 Hz, and take the next slot. Should be readily visible to anyone looking at their waterfall.

I've aborted the attempt to try it because I have TVI on 20 meters and have to use reduced power. So any digital operation will have to be JT modes.

    Thanks for the feedback.

30 meters seems to be where the FSQ is, and that is not a bad thing, with coast to coast coverage in the daytime and DX at night....

You mean like a Raspberry Pi 2, which needs 5v at 200mA to provide that?

Or maybe your smart phone has all that? Or your wife's Kindle reader?

Seriously if FSQ catches on I expect to see ports of the software to all kinds of tiny devices.

I expect it still won't be usable on anything with less than 16 bits and 50 MHz. Even that's being generous.

I'd figure out a way to do it with 8 bits and 1MHz if I had time. And I wouldn't require any updates.

Just downloaded the FSQCall SW and installed it.
Set up callsign and location fields and pressed enter...That was a mistake.
I forgot that the SW automatically sends the entered callsign.
I didn't INTEND to transmit at that time.
Funny thing though, station in New Hampshire called me back
and had a nice "chat" with him. (I do not normally CHAT, but I like FSQ..something different)

Now I have to go back and read the documentation so I can understand
what I am doing, and not be using the SWAG method.

Got the new release of FLDIGI too, but don't kinow if I will use FLDIGI.
I have an older version of FL that works just fine and I use it all the time.
I may just stick with the old version.

Anyone else notice that the activity on 30M seems to have moved from 10.144 to 10.145 ? Or is it me ....

It depends...10.144 is the "normal" frequency but if that gets busy some migrate to 10.145.

I have worked FSQ on 10.144. Also have had great success with running FSQ using FM on 2 meters. I have successfully acoustically coupled a Baofeng handheld to my notebook and received/transmitted successfully. Very easy to do. I simply held the Baofeng a few inches from the speaker and microphone on the computer. K6SLK/4

How do you all log FSQ in log here on QRZ? No FSQ in the list. Thx
