Just got this from R and L Electronics: We have developed free screen savers that help you study for your ham radio exam. There are 3 different versions, one for each class of license. Depends on your "Trojan Horse" detection system. Some of them list all as Trojan Horses even when they are not because they want you to feel "protected." RandL Electronics would not do this but if you are really concerned about it and if you really did try to download it, then you'd find it is a ZIP file for all classes and your firewall would check it — if you had Macafee or Trend Micro or some other good system. And, what is Win 7, anyway? Is it another Microsoft system designed to patch up previous system/s? Seems like that is what they are famous for. Finally they get one that works (XP) and then they drop it so it can be replace by some other "patchable" system. Hmmm...
The ZIP file has all three programs in it for Technician, General and Extra classes. I downloaded the ZIP file and extracted the three files then ran Microsoft Security Essentials on all three and the result? "Microsoft Security Essentials could not find any threat in the files." You guys need to wonder if you have "Trojan Horse Detectors" or confidence builders in that you did the right thing by not replacing your screen saver with a leaning tool.
