This SATURDAY (Dec5) , the KK4NSF Team will be conducting a QRP mini-DX-pedition at Fort Morgan Alabama.

Our goal is to get 100+ contacts on 40m in three hours.... using 5w of power. You are invited to join us, either in person or on the air!

Custom Printed QSL Cards will be sent to all contacts!

    Saturday DEC 5th 2015

15:00 UTC to 18:00 UTC.... or maybe later if the contacts keep coming.
(that's 9am to noon Central Time for you UTC challenged folks)

    Primary Frequency- 40m - 7.285mhz - SSB
    Alternate Frequency- 40m – 7.280mhz- SSB
    2nd Alt Frequency- 40m- 7.275mhz- SSB

Since this is our first QRP Mini-DX-pedition, we expect it to be a modest affair.... but still a lot of fun.

Our goal is to get 100 contacts in three hours
    .

If the 40m band is unworkable, we may try the 20m and 80m bands on 14.285, 14.280, 3.985 and / or 3.980. If that doesn't work, we're going to adjourn to the Original Oyster House in Gulf Shores and eat lunch!

    Equipment we're going to use:

Radio: ICOM 703. Antenna: ICOM AH-103 with counter-poises, mounted on a 10 ft tripod. Power supply: 12v Gel-Cell Battery and 10w Solar Panel.

    Be There.... On The Air!

update: The Ft Morgan DXpedition is now history.... and it was a great success! At times the 7.285 and 7.280 frequencies were very busy with stronger stations, so we had to move around a bit. The 20m band was also busy. Even so we made a lot of GREAT contacts, met some great people, and had a LOT of fun in the process.

For all of you who did check in with us, your QSL card will be arriving in the mail in a week or so.

Our NEXT QRP mini-DXpedition is probably going to be at the End of The Road.... in Venice LA, 125 miles SOUTH of New Orleans! Keep a watch out here for the dates, times and frequencies.
