    Now I don't think so.

It seems that contestOr isn't even a word. ContestEr is the only one listed in my printed dictionary.

    I was reading this:

So, maybe neither contester nor contestor is appropriate to our hobby. Spellchecker doesn't like either word.

How about "a contest participant". Would that work?

Ignoring someone only works when you are logged in. When not logged in they will see all posts.

I have 21 users following me, but I have never followed anyone myself. When I se an alert that a user is following me has always been after I have helped someone. My guess is that they want to se more of my help postings.

Burt you should turn off, show my online status. It is in a few places that need to be unchecked. With this unchecked a user can't se, what thread you were in and when you were last seen/logged in.

That depends on what dictionary you use:

    con·testor (kŏn/tĕst/әr)

    n. 1. One who enters contests, sweepstakes, competitions, lotteries and raffles.

    con·testing (kŏn/tĕst/)

    v. 1. The act of entering contests.

    con·test (kŏn/tĕst/)

    n. 1. A struggle for superiority or victory between rivals.

    2. A competition, especially one in which entrants perform separately and are rated by judges. See Synonyms at conflict.

    con·test·ed, con·test·ing, con·tests (kәn/tĕst/) (kŏn/tĕst/)

    v. tr. 1. To compete or strive for.

    2. To call into question and take an active stand against; dispute or challenge:
contest a will. See Synonyms at oppose.

    v. intr. 1. To struggle or compete; contend:
contested with other bidders for the antique.

Probably from French conteste, from contester, to dispute, from Old French, to call to witness, from Latin contestari : com-, com- + testis, witness; see trei —in Appendix I.

    con·test a·ble adj.

    con tes·ta tion (kŏn/tĕ-stā/shәn) n.

    con·test er n.

    con·tes·tant (kәn-tĕs/tәnt, kŏn/tĕs/tәnt)

    n. 1. One taking part in a contest; a competitor.

    2. One that contests or disputes something, such as an election or a will.

    Hey Lisa
I just looked to see if I was following anyone or if anyone was following me. It shows I follow one person (definitely not K1OIK) and two are following me. I have no idea what following or being followed by anyone does between myself and them. If it is OK I am going to follow you Lisa because I do like your posts and the info you give to help others. Also I want to see if anything different happens because I am following you. I have no idea what is going to happen different if I am following you. So you post a lot so I will watch to see if I see anything different happen.

I wish someone from QRZ would post on here and explain what happens when you follow someone or when you are followed by someone.

    73 Lisa.
