FLMSG can be used not only for messages, per se, but for capturing, transmitting, and displaying structured information. We use it in the QSP radio newsletter. Of course, FLMSG be used to capture information and to display (or print) it at the destination so the recipient sees exactly what the sender created. Another advantage with structured data is that instead of just displaying the result, we can process the result for other uses with software.

Thus, FLMSG is a flexible tool for capturing information for many purposes and can be part of a field-expedient system of wide-area digital networking.

We demonstrate the process with the FLMSG Custom Form for the QSP Radio Newsletter. We show getting the custom form, installing it, completing the form, and saving the data. Once we have the data saved, we show that it can be sent by Internet email, FLMSG autosend (broadcast), FLMSG ARQ (unicast), FLAMP (multicast), as well as via Winlink. Finally, we show the recipient displaying the completed form, and processing the received data to produce content formatted for the QSP newsletter.
