    The CW could have been the Repeater ID. That would indicate that at least your radio is programmed correctly and you are hitting and receiving the repeater. It must be a really dead repeater to not get a reply. Around here that almost never happens. Don't give up.

    Your call sign KN4OMR is now in the QRZ Callsign Database:
    To edit your info; (Login first and look up your call sign)
    1) Go to your call sign on the top blue line, and click "Edit KN4OMR" in the menu.
    2) Click the appropriate option to edit.
    3) Click "Save Changes" etc, if required. (Follow the instructions).

    Post to the database forum and ask them to change your username to your new call sign.

    You're in study mode, so don't stop now. There are many ways to get this done, but taking online tests is a good way to familiarize yourself with the question pool and more importantly the technical content. Also, when time permits, setting up a QRZ logbook might be good for long term record keeping. Good luck !
