I have been discussing with many on air and online regarding the issue of connecting DVI-D external monitor to my FT-710 radio. I have been using a DVI-D monitor along with DVI-D cable for a couple of years now without any problem. Many suggested that using a DVI-D to HDMI cable or adapter can end up with a blown fuse in FT-710 while some mentioned that they had used it without a problem. If you have a blown fuse, the FT-710 radio will have to go back to the manufacturer for rectification, which is not an easy job in my region. Today I have come across the specifc information on the Yaesu website, which had been eluding me till now.
