    From the link:

Under the rules of the Federal Communication Commission (Commission or FCC), radio frequency (RF) devices marketed in the United States must operate within certain technical parameters because they can easily cause interference to federal government and licensed communications systems.

    Emphasis added.

If we could just get them to apply the same standard to light fixtures, I could get back on 2m tropo.

Appears they got them for not taking off market soon enough after notification for being able to exceed power on certain Land Mobile Frequencies

    SAY IT AIN'T SO!!!
Technician Class Hams all over America are burning their illegal Baofengs in support of the FCC. A new company called Ca0feng starts up to market the rebranded illegal radios.

Can't their inventory be brought into compliance with a software update to limit frequencies?

If we could get the FCC to apply this to lighting used for horticultural grows, before they enter the US, the RFI situation would be a lot better. Hopefully this is a trend with the FCC that continues.

I don't think the FCC is unhappy about that kind of interference. It seems they don't like a user being able to punch in a frequency that will allow it to transmit on restricted channels. And apparently, their "Equipment Authorization" said something different about what the radios could do.
