I'm putting up a temporary inverted V dipole. I have a MFJ window feed through set up so I am going to have extra coax cable from the dipole to the window. Is there a proper way to coil up the excess so it's out of the way?

Just coil it up, coax isn't particular in terms of dealing with excess the way balanced feed line is.

You might even get a bit of common mode choking by coiling it up but that's pretty random for an unknown length of excess coax in an unknown coil. But five to eight turns of excess coax looped through something like a big 1" mix 31 ferrite snap on core can make a nice common mode choke/line isolator back at the shack end to get some function out of that excess coax.

If you coil it up the electrons get dizzy.

That's why it should be folded back and forth in a figure-8 pattern. Just like a rope on a poopdeck.
