Echo had a strange hidden mission-- to be a mirror if EMP messed up the ionosphere. Then the technology on sats improved enough after Telstar was fried..

Had a listen for this bird... got a small bleep out of it on an Easterly pass here in VK. Ive tried several times , but seldom hear a bleep. Anyone had success?
Im Using an ftm350 yaesu mobile.. I have no issue with SSTV from ISS , or our AO-91 and AO-92.

    Seems a mistery this one.

You were supposed to accurately determine the antenna's length(see pix) and calculate the frequency.
