Guys, Thanks for the feedback, all good. But one point overlooked is that this is less about the engineering and more about opening up to include the current interest from the IoT community. Current Ham based links don't offer connectivity for none-licensed systems. That's why I use the old "Phone Patch" example.
If connectivity over "non-licensed systems" is the draw for the IOT crowd, why does it need ham radio at all? Another solution in search of a problem.
