I inherited a pile of SN7000 N-channel mosfets. According to the official literature, these are really only suitable for switching applications. Not so.

Any switching transistor can be made to work in a linear mode....and sometimes they work better than devices MADE for linear operation.

I did have to fiddle around with the bias scheme to make these fellers happy in class A... I used a "self biasing" topology with an additional high resistance (1 Megohm) between the gate and ground. These things work exceptionally well clear up through HF....I didn't even try them out even higher..they may work there too.

Anyway....at 17 cents a pop, they're certainly worth 'sperimenting with.

Can I "relieve you" of a dozen or so for reasonable reimbursement? I'll even pay USPS. (I don't think the Pony Express goes out your way...:D:rolleyes: I'll send you an e-mail if further info is needed.
