I have recently acquired an Eimac 1000T, and I'm not sure what to do with it. Not great for grounded grid as far as I can tell, would make a good RF tube in a plate modulated am transmitter, grid driven linear perhaps?

It's an awfully pretty tube, but I'd rather it not be a shelf queen.

I would use the tube in an amplifier because this article says that it will work very well. The 6C21 has the filament and grid of the 1000T, and the plate of the 450T. The 1000T should work like a 6C21 with the added benefit of over twice the plate dissipation. I have this amplifier on my bucket list, and a couple of 6C21s waiting for me. Enjoy.

    Best regards,
    Chris

That's one beautiful amplifier! I wish it gave more circuit details though.

    Thanks!
