This year was my first time attending this hamfest. Accompanied by the lovely and gracious Sherry, and (of course) Greta the Wonder Dog, we arrived mid-morning and found that, while a smaller hamfest (not a bad thing), folks appeared to be having a good time. The flea market had a good variety of stuff, and the pavilion housed some dealers with new stuff... connectors and cables were plentiful. The crew from KJI Electronics was there, and thy were busy. One of the reasons we drove the six hour round trip was to buy an new dual band mobile antenna (which they had plenty of). Also bought a few connectors from a dealer selling all sorts of adapters and connectors (what's a hamfest without connectors?). We stayed for a couple of hours, and then headed for home. This one is on the list for future hamfest trips for us. Maybe on the next trip, we will stop at Grandma's (Colonie) for lunch on the way home, although Brooks BBQ in Oneonta was excellent as well.
